Japhet, Comedian home . BIO . media . contact . schedule ![]() Sherry
was born in Del Rio, Texas, on Laughlin Air Force Base to an American
father and a Thai mother. Her father left the military in order to
spend more time with his family, and in an attempt to save his
marriage.
After her father left the military, the family moved to Idaho. Sherry's parents divorced when she was six, and her dad raised her and her younger sister. Sherry's comedy is inspired by her childhood: being raised by a single white father, struggling to understand her foreign-born mother, and striving to find her identity in a closed-minded and prejudiced town.
